Capture project communication

Planned for Phase 1

Provenience is designed to collect the communication and reference material surrounding a project without asking a model to guess where it belongs. The product contract is settled; this feature set is not yet available in a running Site.

One project, dedicated channels

Creating a project will provision one phone number and one email address for that project. Its roster records the staff, customers, and collaborators who use those channels. Because the destination identifies the project and the sender is matched against its roster, context comes from setup rather than content classification.

Calls will use an auto-attendant, dual-channel recording, and transcription. Texts on the project group thread and email sent to the project address will enter the same capture pipeline. A September 2026 real-device test confirmed that a Twilio number in a native group thread receives each participant's messages with enough participant data to correlate the thread; outbound replies into that native thread are outside Phase 1.

Connected sources

Two connector paths serve different kinds of source:

Both paths are read-only in Phase 1. Connector support will depend on what an integration agent can build against; there is no fixed vendor list.

Files

Files arriving through any channel will be preserved and cataloged against their project. Phase 1 covers capture and cataloging, not extracting meaning from an image, PDF, spreadsheet, or drawing.

Capabilities covered
